Journey Through the Cosmos

An Immersive Journey Among Stars and Planets

Journey Through the Cosmos : An Interactive Planetarium Experience at SVIS

Sree Vidyanikethan International School hosted the Cosmodrome Planetarium Experience on 16 April, giving students an exciting opportunity to learn about space and astronomy through an interactive and visually engaging session.

The portable planetarium, inspired by the vision of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, transformed the campus into a unique learning space where students could experience the wonders of the universe in an immersive setting. Designed by astronomers and educators, the sessions introduced students to planets, stars, constellations, galaxies, and moons through realistic visuals and guided explanations inside the inflatable dome.

Students enthusiastically participated in the experience, watching simulations of space travel and learning about celestial bodies in a way that went beyond textbooks and classroom discussions. Many students were especially excited by the visual journey through the solar system and the opportunity to see astronomical concepts presented in such an engaging format.

The event was graced by Vishnu Manchu and Vinay Maheshwari, who interacted with students and appreciated the school’s efforts in creating meaningful experiential learning opportunities.

The Cosmodrome Planetarium Experience added a new dimension to science learning at SVIS by encouraging curiosity, observation, and interest in space exploration while making the subject both enjoyable and memorable for students.
