Dance club brings passionate dancers together to explore body movements in a rhythmic way, usually to music and within a given space, to express an idea or emotion, release energy, and take delight. Students learn different dance styles from different cultural backgrounds like Indian Classical Dances, Indian Folk Dances, Modern, HipHop, Salsa, Zumba, etc. This club not only focuses on dance but also helps students involve with the “banging beats”. The session usually begins with a warm-up which helps them to improve fitness and stamina. The class is often taught a dance routine that they build upon, over several weeks. Children perform in the assembly or in front of parents at the end of the term. Sometimes the students do choreography of their dance in small groups.
